Privacy Policy for SNUBO APP

Your privacy is a core principle at SNUBO (“Snubo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your choices regarding your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect We have designed our App to be privacy-first and collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our Services.
A. Information You Provide to Us

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your authentication information, such as your email address (if using email/password registration) or a unique User ID provided by Google or Apple (if using social sign-in).

Subscription Data: We collect and store the subscription details you enter, such as service names, costs, billing dates, and categories. This data is stored securely in our Firebase database to provide the Service and allow you to sync this data across your devices.
B. Information Stored Only on Your Device (We DO NOT Collect This)

Secure Credentials: You have the option to store subscription usernames and passwords in the App’s “Password Safe.” This information is always encrypted and stored exclusively on your device’s local secure storage.

We DO NOT collect, transmit, see, or have any access to this credential information. It never leaves your device and is not synced to our servers or any other device.
C. Information Collected Automatically

Purchase Information: We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage premium subscriptions. When you make a purchase, we receive an anonymous token or receipt from the App Store or Google Play Store to validate your premium status. We do not collect or see any of your personal payment information, such as credit card details.

Push Notification Tokens: If you enable notifications, we collect a unique, anonymous token (a Firebase Cloud Messaging token) for your device. We use this token only to send you the subscription renewal reminders you set up.
2. How We Use Your Information We use the information we collect strictly to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the App’s core functionality (tracking your subscriptions).

Authenticate your account and sync your Subscription Data (non-credentials) across your devices.

Process your premium subscription status (via RevenueCat).

Send you push notifications for renewal reminders, if you opt-in.

Respond to your support requests.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for their marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Firebase (a Google service): We use Firebase for backend services, including Authentication (to manage your account), Firestore (to securely store your Subscription Data), and Firebase Cloud Messaging (to send push notifications). Firebase’s use of your information is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage and validate in-app purchases. We only share anonymous user identifiers and purchase receipts with them. Their use of data is governed by the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Currency API: The app retrieves currency exchange rates from an external API to perform currency conversions. This process is anonymous and does not send any of your personal information.
4. How We Protect Your Information We take the security of your data very seriously.

Data in Transit: All communication between the App and our Firebase backend is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS).

Data at Rest: Your Subscription Data is stored securely in Firebase’s Firestore database, protected by strict security rules.

Local Credentials: As stated in Section 1.B, your Secure Credentials are encrypted and stored only on your device. We cannot access this data.
5. Account Deletion & Data Retention You have the right to delete your account and associated data at any time directly within the App via the Settings > Profile menu.
When you initiate a deletion request, Snubo utilizes a “Grace Period” mechanism to prevent accidental data loss:

Immediate Deactivation: Upon confirmation, your account is immediately deactivated. You will be signed out, and your profile, subscription data, and stored credentials will be moved to a secure “Archived” state. Your data will no longer be visible or active within the app.

30-Day Retention Window: Your archived data remains stored securely for exactly 30 days from the moment of your request. This allows you to recover your account if the deletion was a mistake.

Restoration: To stop the deletion process, simply log in to Snubo with your original credentials within this 30-day window. You will be prompted to restore your account, and your data will be instantly recovered.

Permanent Erasure: If you do not log in within 30 days, your account and all associated data (including encrypted credentials, subscription history, and usage analytics) will be permanently and irreversibly erased from our servers in accordance with data protection laws. We cannot recover your data after this period.
Note regarding Local Credentials: While our servers will delete your cloud data, the Secure Credentials stored locally on your device are managed by your device’s operating system. To ensure these are removed immediately, you should also clear the App’s data from your device settings or uninstall the App.
6. Compliance with Platform Guidelines This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with the guidelines set forth by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We are committed to protecting user privacy and providing a secure, transparent experience.
7. Children’s Privacy Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the “Last Updated” date.
